During my own work-at-home journey, I have been fortunate enough to work a few data entry jobs.  I used to work outside the home keying in the mailing addresses and names of individuals that were not picked up by the scanner at the United States Postal Service.  They paid very well and if I worked overtime, I would get a paycheck well over $1,000.  Even though the job was repetitive, I really enjoyed it and I could even listen to music while I was working after I had been doing it for a couple of months.

I have also worked for companies like Virtualbee which is known called the Smart Crowd at Lionbridge and even for Great American Opportunities.  I like them both but you can make more money working for Great American Opportunities.

What is Great American Opportunities?

Get paid cash instantly to take short polls https://paidviewpoint.com/?r=p8xvji

Great American Opportunities is simply a school fundraising company that has several items listed that consumers can purchase through a paper order form.  If you have school-aged children at home, you may have seen some of their fundraising campaigns or even allowed your kids to participate in them by going door-to-door or selling them to friends and family members. Great American Opportunities even sell jewelry, chocolate, water bottles, of course, cookie dough, and other practical items.

What kind of work-at-home jobs does Great American Opportunities have?

They have data entry jobs that are given the title (Home Based Operator) where they contract with qualified individuals to type in gift orders or magazine subscriptions from their home computers. Great American Opportunities has been recruiting work-at-home agents since 2004! Not many work-at-home employers can say that they have been in business for this amount of time.

Are there any fees?

Absolutely not.  You will not have to come out of your pocket to pay for testing, materials, etc. This is a completely cost-free legitimate data entry work-at-home job.

Do I need previous experience?

If you have obtained employment in the past where it required you to type, that would be helpful but it is not a requirement.  This is one of the few work-at-home jobs that do not require any experience at all.  It would be helpful if you have an average or above average typing speed because you will be in a better position to be offered employment from this company.

What kind of computer equipment will I need?

Great American Opportunities requires that you have a computer with Windows 7, 8, or 10 and at least 2 GB of Ram.  You will also need a DSL or cable modem internet connection in your home.

What is involved in the application process?

All interested individuals will be invited to test during their next testing period which will take place next month.  The test is implemented to measure your data entry skills in order to be offered a contract.  I have taken the test before and it should take you no longer than 40 minutes to complete.

After you have completed the test and received a satisfactory score, you will be put on a waiting list for openings in the near future.

How do I apply?

You cannot apply to work from home for Great American Opportunities online.  The only way you are able to do so is via email.  You will send an email to Terry O’Hair indicating that you are interested in the HBO or home-based operator opportunities and would like to test for these positions.  Please include your full name, address, and phone number in the email.  You can use the subject line HBO or home-based operator in your email.

If you fail to include any of this information in your email, you may have to wait for a whole year to repeat this process again.  Please send your email on June 1, 2017 beginning at 12 midnight CST.  Only the first 250 applicants will be accepted by Great American Opportunities.

How much is the pay?

Great American Opportunities pays per piece rate for each subscription order form completed. This averages out to be around $10 per hour or more if you are a fast typist.  Payments are made on a weekly basis through direct deposit.

What if I live outside the US?

Unfortunately, this company only hires applicants who reside in the United States.  If this changes, I will let you know.  In the meantime, you can visit Workersonboardworldwide.com for global work-at-home jobs.

Tips for those applying to Great American Opportunities

  • I would recommend that you clip your nails or get them trimmed before you take the test to increase your speed and accuracy.  You should also do this when you begin working for them as well.
  • Use a good keyboard with a stable, sturdy desk to type in the names and addresses on the order forms.
  • Read over your instructions closely so that you will know the shortcuts and what will be expected of you as you type.
  • Complete the sample test before you take the actual test.

If you want to know what score you need to have in order to be invited to work for Great American Opportunities, you can download or order a copy of the book “300+ Companies that Pay you to work from home” available on Amazon.  Make sure you send your emails to TOHair@gafundraising.com before June 1, 2017.

    Hi Alicia!

Thanks so much for posting this information for us. I do have a quick question, though.

Should be send the email on or before June 1st? In one paragraph, you mention on June 1, but at the end of the post you state before June 1st.

    Thanks!

Hi Chelsey, please send your email on June 1st before 12 midnight CST. I guess if you send it before, it couldn’t hurt but you may still need to resend it by the deadline.

The email address listed is wrong because it keeps coming back to me as mailer daemon. Tried with TO at the beginning then without TO, just “air”. Really wanted to apply

Hello, I want to apply for this position as well but am still confused on when to send in the application. Is the deadline June 1st midnight CST? Or are applications only being accepted on that date but before midnight CST.

    Are there specified hours?

Hi I was under the impression that you have to send the emails on June 1st by midnight, am I understanding correctly?

    Kelly Long · at

The last time I sent out an email to them to take the test it was at 12am on June1st, I had it all typed out and hit the send button at Midnight. I did make it as one of the first 250 people to be tested.
