Pinterest currently has 32 remote jobs on its official website.  Pinterest is currently hiring a Remote Community Manager to work on a contract basis.  You will be employed by Pinterest’s partner Pro Unlimited.

What are the job duties?

As a Community Manager, you will be required to build a new community from scratch.  This will require you to run and maintain all their Pinterest and shuffle accounts.  You will complete the following duties:

  • Run and maintain their social media channels
  • Handle coordinated campaigns and reactive issues.
  • Create an editorial calendar for their social channels.
  • Monitor and respond to all comments and social chatter.
  • Review flagged content for policy violations.
  • Drive traffic including signups.
  • And other related duties.

What are the requirements for this job?

They are looking for candidates who can engage with others and have at least 2 years of experience managing an online community.  You will also need experience creating compelling customer stories.  Qualified candidates need to be familiar with community platforms like Discord, Tribe, or Mighty.  Social networking experience is a must with good communication skills.

Why does this job pay $50 to $85 per hour?

The hourly pay is so broad because it depends on the candidate’s experience and location.  Of course, the more experience you have, the more you will earn.

What is involved in the application process?

All applicants will be required to fill out a very short online application.  This includes submitting a current resume.  Select applicants will then be asked by a Pinterest assignment manager to schedule a virtual interview.  If you are selected, you will be contacted with an extension of the job offer providing details about the duration, benefits, and other important information.
