If you reside in Canada and want to work from home there are several companies including some that are well-known that hire Canadians to work remotely from their home office.  Some of the jobs may require that you have previous experience dealing with the public but some may only require that you have the ability to browse the internet, good web research skills, and an average typing speed with fast internet connection.  If you come across a job you are not qualified for, don’t get discouraged.  You can apply to those entry-level work-at-home jobs to help get you a jump start in the virtual workforce.

Not only will it help to improve your skills but it will also allow you to have credible references in the form of employers to include on your resume.  Some of these entry-level work-at-home jobs may not offer great pay but may give you the freedom to work your own schedule and even work another part-time job at the same time.

Uhaul – This company is known to hire Canadians to service their customers’ needs right from your home office.  Please note that they may only offer part-time work but it is a great place to start if you have no previous work history.

Sykes – This company was previously called Alpine Access and has been employing telecommuters for several years now.  They are also looking for enthusiastic people who are willing to work hard to assist their customers.

Rev.com – Another company that hires transcribers in Canada and elsewhere to work from home listening to a wide variety of audio content and type what you hear.  You can work whenever you want and possibly makeup to $390 each week depending upon how much you work.  Payments are made weekly via PayPal.

Amazon – Amazon has virtual jobs for those in Canada.  Some of these positions may require previous training and experience but you can always check back to see if they have some entry-level jobs for home agents that can take customer service calls from home.

Apple – Apple has been known to hire at-home advisors in Canada to assist their customers with their various Apple products.  Not only will they train you to perform this job but the company will even give you an iMac computer.  They are looking for people who are tech-savvy or have some troubleshooting expertise.  If you don’t find any openings, check back at their official website periodically.

Advanis – This company hires telephone research interviewers to work from home that can start immediately.  You will need a landline phone, a corded headset, a quiet place in your home to work as well as excellent customer service skills and the ability to type 30 wpm.

Shutterstock – This company hires image reviewers in Canada, the United States, and other countries to evaluate images for 25-30 hours per week from home.  Applicants are not required to live in the Montreal area but you will need domain expertise and 2 years of photography experience.

Pizza Pizza Ltd – This company hires independent service providers in Canada to take pizza orders for their clients.  You will need 2 years of customer service experience and strong PC skills.  Pays $12-$14 per hour.

Humanatic – Work from any location listening to calls from your computer and sorting them into categories based on specific criteria.  You can also engage in this work on your smartphone or another mobile device.  Pay is per call sorted.  You will earn $1 for your first call.  Weekly pay via PayPal.  You will need a verified PayPal account.

Appen – This freelance company hires remote workers all over the world to complete tasks on their crowdsourcing platform as well as in web search evaluation.  These jobs do not require any experience but you may be required to complete testing.

Usertesting – Work from home visiting various websites and mobile apps as you talk out loud to give your honest feedback.  Pays $10 for just 20 minutes of your time.  You will need a PayPal account for this company also.

Whatusersdo – Another company that needs online testers to help companies improve their websites on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.  Pays via PayPal.

Clickworker – Get paid to complete a variety of short tasks in data categorization, writing, translation, transcription, and more.  No experience is required.  Can work your own schedule.  Weekly pay via PayPal.

Sitel – This company has several positions for home agents in Canada to provide support to their clients.

Concentrix – This company is looking for customer product support advisors to respond to inbound contacts and resolve technical issues.  You will need 1-2 years of experience, good keyboarding skills, and a landline phone.  Pay starts at $12.50 per hour.

Kelly Services – Not only can you work from home if you live in the US for Kelly Services but also if you live in Canada.  They are currently looking for bilingual help desk agents to assist customers with questions or issues regarding products and services.  You will need customer service or call center experience.  Weekly pay.

Teemwork.ai – This is another company that hires remote workers from all over the globe and right now they are currently seeking search engine evaluators to rate content returned by the search engines.  Free training is provided which means no experience is required.  You must reside permanently in Canada, have reliable, stable internet, and can work 10-25 flexible hours a week.
