What are the requirements to work for Cambly?

Cambly only requires their tutors to have a computer with good internet connection.  There is no experience needed to work from home as a Cambly tutor.  You simply need to be a native English speaker.

How many hours will I need to work?

One of the great things about this company is that you can choose and work your own schedule.  There is no amount of hours or set weekly schedule that you are required to work.  You can log in and work whenever you want for as long or as little as you want.

What is the pay like?

Cambly pays their tutors for each minute they are connected and chatting with their students.  The standard rate is $0.17 per minute.  That amount may not sound like a lot of money but it does average out to approximately $10.20 per hour.  Payments are made every single Monday as long as you have at least $20 in your account or have worked about 2 hours that week.  You will need a verified PayPal account because that is their preferred method of pay.

What is the application process like?

Very simple and straight forward.  After you visit their official website to sign up to be a tutor using your social media profile and/or email address, Cambly will check your internet connection to make sure you can handle chats.  Once you have passed this step, you will record a very short video introducing yourself to potential students including information about your background, experience with English, interests, etc.  You will submit your video to the Cambly team for approval and then finish your profile.  Shortly thereafter, you will be contacted by Cambly regarding your status.

The whole process will take you no more than 10 minutes to complete.
