We are just in the beginning stages of fall but depending upon where you live, it may already feel like it. The fall season is an opportune time to apply to work at home companies because many employers will be recruiting home agents to keep up with their demand for the upcoming holiday season. Some of these jobs may last for the season and others on a more permanent basis. Whatever the case, you will be able to find many companies hiring.
Before you apply, do a checklist to ensure you have the following items in your home office.
- High-speed internet connection
- Computer or laptop
- surge protector (to protect your computer)
- A quiet area in your home to work
- USB headset (may or may not be required depending on the job and company)
- Webcam (optional)
Along with these items, you will need to exhibit a good work ethic and possess great attendance to keep your work at home job and possibly advance to great responsibilities. Being organized will help you to keep your dedicated workspace tidy and avoid unnecessary distractions.

1800 Flowers partners with many brands like Harry & David, The Popcorn Factory, Cheryl’s, Bloom Net, and others seeking remote workers to service their customers from home on a seasonal basis.
